Ease Capsules Manufacturing and Ingredients FAQs
Here's some commonly asked ingredient and manufacturing questions.
When it Comes to: | The Answer Is: |
Using Beyond Expiration Date | Plexus recommends the products be used within the expiration date for best efficacy and flavor. Although products can be safely consumed past the expiration date, it’s possible the flavor and amount of vitamins, minerals, and nutrients may diminish over time. |
Safety of Product | Plexus meets or exceeds all regulatory standards and guidelines for product safety and efficacy. View What steps does Plexus take to prevent allergen cross-contamination in the manufacturing process? |
Reason for California Prop 65 Warning | California’s Prop 65 (The Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986) requires that a warning statement be placed on products that contain levels of ingredients that "may potentially have a negative health impact". Natural sources of water, such as rain or ocean, contain dissolved minerals and metals that may require the California warning. Plexus products may contain some ingredients (such as New Zealand Green Lipped Mussel in Ease) which are grown with natural water, so we pay very close attention to California’s standards in this regard. |
Sensitivity of Ease to heat or hot drinks | Certain vitamins, such as Vitamin C, are particularly sensitive to heat. Therefore, using Ease in hot liquids may reduce its Vitamin C activity. |
Any medical or allergy concerns | Anyone who has an allergy, injury, illness, or other medical condition should always consult with a physician prior to taking Plexus products or starting any exercise regimen. If pregnant or nursing, consult with your physician prior to use. View What if I have a medical, injury, illness, pregnancy, nursing, or allergy concern about a Plexus product or the ingredients? |
Location of Lot Number | The lot number is a 6 digit number found on the bottom of the Ease Capsules bottle along with the expiration date of the product. |
Color of Product | Ease occasionally may have a yellow color, and this is normal. Plexus works hard to source the best raw materials and many times they vary in color upon receipt at the manufacturing facility. The manufacturing facility tests and verifies each material prior to use in the Plexus Products. In addition to the variations in color of raw materials we are also using a different capsule which is a bit more translucent, therefore the color of the powder inside is visible. |
